Job summary

Spllabs is seeking a motivated Field Services Technician II to join our Plano, TX field sampling team. You will perform regulated sampling, collect water and wastewater samples, and support lab operations while ensuring compliance and sample integrity.

Ideal candidates have hands-on field sampling experience, familiarity with composite or automated samplers, and the ability to work outdoors with flexibility in schedule. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational training in a related technical field preferred.
• Experience in field services or regulated sampling.
• Familiar with field sampling techniques and equipment operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform regulated environmental sampling at municipal, industrial, and commercial sites.
• Collect and transport water, wastewater, groundwater, and other environmental samples.
• Deploy, retrieve, program, operate, and maintain composite sampling equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport samplers, coolers, and field equipment at client sites.
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, and environmental monitoring.
• Identify and resolve routine sampling or equipment issues.
• Maintain sample integrity, preservation, chain of custody, and holding times.
• Complete field logs, electronic records, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare and maintain sampling kits, equipment, coolers, and supplies.
• Support in-house sample receiving, verification, and preparation as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients and launch non-routine issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned
