Job summary

Summit Human Capital is seeking a Field Service Technician to support an enterprise warehouse automation organization across North America. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and commission automated material handling systems at customer sites.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, hands-on maintenance experience, and readiness for long hours with significant travel. Benefits are provided according to laws and the company package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and upgrade automated material handling systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to component level.
• Support commissioning, retrofits, and equipment installations.
• Service conveyors, robotics, pallet stacker cranes, and related automation.
• Provide onsite, emergency, warranty, and remote technical support.
• Conduct maintenance and safety inspections.
• Assist with operator and maintenance training.
• Collaborate with field service and project teams.
• Complete service reports, time records, expenses, and required documentation.
• Travel throughout North America based on project needs.

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to support an enterprise warehouse automation organization. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning automated material handling systems at customer facilities throughout North America. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on industrial equipment maintenance experience
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at heights up to 130 feet
• Comfort working around industrial electrical systems, including 480V
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America
• Flexibility for 10–12 hour days and occasional six-day workweeks
• Strong safety awareness, reliability, work ethic, and independence

Preferred:

• Warehouse automation or material handling experience
• AS/RS, conveyors, pallet stacker cranes, or robotics
• Military aircraft, avionics, or aviation maintenance
• Industrial electromechanical, wind turbine, or high-voltage equipment
• Commissioning or field service experienceWarehouse management systems, SAP, or Salesforce
