Essential Functions
- Assist the project manager and superintendent with the day-to-day operations of an assigned construction project
- Duties for the Field Services Groundman include:
- Routine quality control and quality assurance
- Conducting crew visits
- Monitoring schedules
- Preparing purchase orders/contracts
- Overseeing the daily work of subcontractors
- Estimating costs and monitoring expenditure with vendors
- Evaluating environmental impact and right-of-way access plans, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance
- Drafting reports
- Assisting in running field operations
- Analyzing data
- Job planning
- Troubleshooting
- Supporting overall project objectives
- The technical expertise of the FSG will assist the organization in increasing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, managing risk, diagnosing problems, and complying with laws and regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
- Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- No experience is required - training is provided
- Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Working knowledge of project safety processes
- Basic understanding of quality control monitoring
- Ability to complete production reporting
- Cost reporting and scheduling skills
- Ability to travel and relocate to projects is essential
