Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Location: Anywhere in lower 48 states (remote).

Salary: $100,000/yr+ (depending on experience)

Experience: 5+ years in field service and electromechanical maintenance, preferably injection molding.

JOB

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of injection molding machinery across a multi-site manufacturing network. This individual will work hands-on with leading industry equipment ensuring machine uptime and reliability.

The role combines technical expertise with leadership, as the engineer will often guide plant technicians, coordinate with OEMs, and lead machine rebuild projects. Travel is required throughout the U.S., supporting both emergency repairs and planned preventative maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues with injection molding equipment
• Perform quality installations, repairs, and machine rebuilds
• Lead preventive maintenance efforts across multiple locations
• Train and mentor plant maintenance teams
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for parts and service solutions
• Develop and implement safety and maintenance best practices
• Support engineering project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with injection molding machinery
• Proven skills in hydraulics, controls, and mechanical/electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics
• Proficient in CMMS (Hippo preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%)
