Job summary

ALLO Communications, LLC in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Field Services Technician to install structured cabling and fiber in commercial and multi-dwelling environments. You will dress, route, and terminate cabling, perform testing, and document results while traveling on occasion to support projects in multiple states.

The role requires 2-3 years of construction experience (preferred), a clean MVR, and the ability to learn site surveys and blueprints. A high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel outside of home market for extended periods.
  • Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles.
  • Ability to learn to read site survey notes, blueprints, follow directions.
  • Willingness to work overtime on a voluntary basis.

Responsibilities

  • Install EMT/ENT/PVC conduit pathways, CAT6, and fiber in commercial buildings and MDUs.
  • Dress, route, and terminate fiber optic and low voltage cabling into data closets and work areas.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on fiber-optic and low voltage pathways.
  • Test and document light levels and cable performance using industry tools.
  • Travel to assist outside market BSCT teams and support projects across multiple states.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and test results using mobile apps.

If you're a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with a passion for building the future of connectivity, we want you on our team.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall EMT/ENT/PVC conduit pathways, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling in commercial buildings and multi-dwelling units (MDUs).Dress, route, and terminate fiber optic and low voltage data cabling into data closets, lock boxes, and work areas.Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on fiber-optic and low voltage pathways.Test and document light levels and cable performance using industry-standard tools.Remove abandoned conduit pathways as needed.Install structured cabling systems including backbone fiber, horizontal cabling, and associated spaces.Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scissor lifts safely and effectively.Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and test results using mobile and computer applications.Travel to assist outside market BSCT teams and support projects across multiple states. (Very Rare and based on Volunteers if able)Work in various environments including outdoors, confined spaces, and at heights.Lift and carry up to 80 pounds safely.Note: All tools, materials and work vehicle provided by companyEDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE:2-3 years of construction experience preferred but not requiredAbility to learn and grasp new concepts on the jobClean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehiclesAbility to work overtime on a voluntary basisCOMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:Bring a professional attitude, be self-motivated, and have a goal-oriented work ethic.Good written and oral communication skills.Ability to travel outside of home market for extended periods of time based on project and business needs.Valid driver license and good MVR driving record to drive company vehicles.Ability to learn to read site survey notes, blueprints, follow directions, and have good time management skills.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.Display prompt attendance to work and scheduled job sites.Travel responsibilities will mainly be day travel.People are our passion.
