Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, preferably as a Service Technician.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of hydraulic and electronic systems.

Job description

Position Overview:

Emergent Automation is looking to hire Field Service/Automation Technicians to join their growing team to support our unique and diversified products around the upstream space of Oil & Gas. This position entails you performing a variety of tasks, including rigging up/down Emergent owned rental equipment, troubleshooting systems, repairs and service call outs. Additionally, from time-to-time, you will be working at our yard in Seminole, TX prepping the systems for their next jobs. This position does entail a significant amount of driving time, occasionally long hours and weekends.

Expectations for Candidates

  • Will be responsible to take service calls to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair programming and system failures. This includes both over the phone and in person frequently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with company personnel/service company operators
  • Hydraulic and Electronics experience
  • Understands AC/DC circuits
  • Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of valves and choke systems a plus
  • Read and interpret diagrams and documentation and communicates with customers to understand objectives and preferences.
  • Troubleshoots problems that occur, often related to changes in customer desires, incorrect instrumentation specifications, or other technical issues.
  • Good demeanor to work with others and solve problems collectively
  • Repairs instrumentation, thoroughly knows how to operate and resolve issues with multi meters and other tools
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test for NAM manufactured equipment, whether part of rental fleet or sold to customer
  • Assists with project scoping of new projects for automating large industrial processes.
  • Uses computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce reports.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, ideally having spent time in a Service Technician role

Job Type : Full-time

Pay Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year
