Job summary

North American Substation Services (NASS) is seeking a Field Service Test Technician to perform substation testing and oversee testing projects while mentoring entry level technicians. The role involves analyzing test data, reviewing results, and providing clear reports.

Travel to various sites and outdoor work in all weather conditions are required. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience reading

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints.
• Knowledge of electrical principles and safety practices in high‑voltage environments.

Field Service Test Technician

Position Details

This position is responsible for substation testing and assist with overseeing testing projects, training, evaluating, and mentoring entry level test technicians as well as reviewing substation test results as well as analyzing and advising test data collection activities.
