The Field Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains Wood-Mizer sawmill and wood processing equipment at customer sites and in our branch shop. The role is accountable for independently solving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems and for training customers to run and maintain their equipment safely. This is a hands-on service role with no sales duties that keeps our customers' equipment productive and feeds field insight back to our service, quality, and engineering teams. The role travels up to 60%, including overnight and multi-day trips and some weekends, and drives company commercial vehicles under DOT regulations (non-CDL). A company service vehicle is provided, and travel expenses are covered while on the road. Pay is based on experience and qualifications; this position is eligible for overtime, and travel time is paid in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
