Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery and package systems at customer locations.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostic work, and on-call service, with travel and site-based responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work with PLCs, schematics, and various diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen.
• Clean driving record (no moving violations within the last 12 months, no “2 point” violations within 3 years, no DUIs within 7 years).
• Must successfully complete physical exam and OGUK offshore certification by Solar-approved physician.
• Be able to obtain a Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at the customer’s location using a set of tools, parts and technical diagrams.
• Conduct on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service, call-out services and commissioning on turbomachinery and package systems.
• Use test equipment and hand tools to diagnose and repair faulty parts.
• Check for common causes of trouble and perform routine installations and adjustments within standard procedures.
