Your work directly impacts the safety and quality of life of residents and visitors. Whether you're helping repair roads, maintaining sidewalks, clearing drainage systems, or responding during storms, you'll help keep the community moving and protected.
Gain hands-on experience operating equipment, working safely in traffic zones, maintaining infrastructure, solving real-world problems, and collaborating with experienced crews. You'll receive training and support from knowledgeable team members who want to help you succeed.
This entry-level role is the first step in a clear career path. As you gain experience, you can pursue CDL training, qualify for Equipment Operator positions, cross-train in multiple divisions, and work toward future leadership opportunities. Equipment/tools primarily utilized includes, but is not limited to, the following: hand tools such as rakes, shovels, picks, hammers, hand saws, lopping shears, and trash pickers; CCTV Helpers and Vac-Con Helpers. Other duties include assisting crew members, maintaining small hand tools and equipment, and completing daily forms and logs. Work is performed under regular supervision.
