Field Service Technician, Rotator Senior

Join to apply for the Field Service Technician, Rotator Senior role at Kodiak Gas Services.

Position Summary

Fully proficient and senior level position responsible for operational compression jobs, including compressor packages, gas processes, and rentals. Provides feedback on operating policies and material forecasts. Has advanced diagnostic and repair skills. May backfill Lead and assist other field positions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform job activities aligned with company goals.
  • Mentor and lead in the area.
  • Troubleshoot complex repairs, major overhauls, electrical issues.
  • Participate in all HSE activities, serve as safety role model.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Ensure 98% or better equipment availability.
  • Assist in personnel planning and budgeting.
  • Manage inventory and maintain units in good condition.
  • Complete reports and operate 24/7 shifts, including overtime and on-call.
  • Backfill Lead as needed and perform additional tasks.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years related experience preferred, with OEM, Trade School, or Kodiak's SSE program.
  • Deep knowledge of gas processes, motor compressors, and compression equipment.
  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Competencies: teamwork, communication, mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, problem-solving, customer focus.
  • Knowledge of compressor systems, HSE regulations, Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR.
Certifications
  • CAT certifications preferred.
  • Waukesha and Ariel certifications preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Operate heavy equipment, stand for 75%, lift up to 50 lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and wear PPE.
