Field Service Technician (can work remote within the U.S.)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, with frequent travel to customer sites as required. The ideal candidate has strong electro-mechanical experience and enjoys solving complex technical problems in fast-paced industrial environments.
As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced machinery and systems at customer locations. You'll work closely with customers to ensure their equipment is running efficiently, while representing our commitment to exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site service, support, and training for electro-mechanical equipment
Perform installation, startup, preventive maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Assist customers with operational and technical questions
Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
Maintain detailed service documentation and reporting
Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term professional relationships
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar field service or technical support role
Strong knowledge of motors and controls, including AC/DC wiring
Familiarity with servos, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems
Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-based systems
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
Ability to travel extensively within the U.S. (up to 75%)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology
Experience with industrial automation and control systems
Prior experience in packaging, corrugated, or manufacturing industries a plus
