Tiello has partnered with a leading industrial refrigeration contractor specializing in complex refrigeration systems for cold storage, food processing, and distribution. This contractor delivers full lifecycle refrigeration solutions including design, engineering, installation, and service, supporting some of the most demanding temperature-controlled environments in the country.
As a Service Field Technician you`ll execute routine and emergency repairs across the food, beverage, and cold storage sectors throughout Ohio. Ideal candidates will possess deep expertise in compressors, control systems, and electrical diagnostics, and

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of ammonia and Freon-based industrial refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical systems, and alarm/control systems.
- Deliver expert-level diagnostics and hands-on repairs on complex systems in food, beverage, and cold storage environments.
- Respond to routine and emergency service calls with professionalism, urgency, and clear communication.
- Maintain a clean, organized work truck, including tools and parts inventory.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies on-site and while traveling.
- Accurately complete service reports, document findings, and communicate recommendations to clients and team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on field experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
- CARO or CIRO certification a plus.
- Ability to work independently, travel daily throughout Ohio, and occasionally work nights/weekends.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and compressor control systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing screw compressors and refrigeration alarms/control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver`s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work safely at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial refrigeration piping systems
- Familiarity with ammonia, CO₂, or large-scale refrigeration applications
- Knowledge of fabrication, installation sequencing, and field construction practices
- Experience coordinating with BIM models from other trades
- Exposure to Navisworks or similar clash detection tools
- Understanding of construction documentation standards and best practices

Work Schedule:
- Full-Time: Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required for occasional nights and weekends based on service needs
Work Location:
- Travel throughout Ohio with a flexible home base (2–3 overnight trips per month; company covers lodging and per diem)
