Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service floor and bench scales at customer sites across the Hartford region. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs while documenting work and maintaining data integrity in the service database.

You must have a high school diploma or GED (or 5 years of relevant experience), a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 25% (mostly by company vehicle or plane).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to work in environments with hazards and to wear protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with experienced technicians.
• Provide end-user training on equipment use and care.
• Document work using company laptop and service software; maintain service records and data integrity.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and fellow technicians to meet uptime and response-time goals.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads in line with experience level.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and company policies.
