nVent Electrical Connections is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support projects at power plants and industrial sites across the U.S. This field-focused role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills and the ability to work with customers on-site.

The position involves 75% travel, including overnights and short-notice assignments, with field work and shop work between projects to maintain steady hours. OSHA 30 training and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and fabrication drawings clearly.
• Experience leading teams on field projects preferred.
• Welding and fabrication skills required for shop and field work.
• Strong commitment to safety; OSHA 30 training is expected.
• Proven communication with customers, subs, and teams.
• Valid driver's license with clean record is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work in field conditions.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate tools, materials, and equipment for jobsites to keep on schedule.
• Collaborate with customers and subcontractors, maintaining professional on-site presence.
• Complete safety processes, including JSAs prior to work.
• Perform welding inspections, repairs, and align with project needs.
• Provide daily progress updates to the project manager.
• Help manage project costs with accurate field documentation and reports.
• When not in field, perform welding and fabrication tasks in the shop.
