Job summary

Riggs Power Systems in Arkansas is hiring multiple experienced Power Field Technicians to service and repair power generation equipment across the state, including diesel and gas engines, generators, switchgear, and complex electrical systems. These field roles require strong troubleshooting and customer service.

You will diagnose, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and support start-ups and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in power systems with diesel/gas engines, generators or switchgear.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with CAT, Cummins or similar OEM systems; ability to read wiring diagrams.

These field-based roles support our customers across the state by delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose and repair engines, generators, switchgear, and electrical components

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using CAT software, schematics, and service manuals
• Support start-ups and commissioning on new power system installations
• Provide accurate service documentation and clear communication with the team and clients

What You Bring:

• Min 3+ years of Power Systems experience with diesel/gas engines, generators, switchgear, or power generation systems
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with start-up and commissioning highly preferred
• Familiarity with CAT, Cummins, or similar OEM systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use laptop-based diagnostics
• Valid driver's license; ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel (up to 50% overnight)
