Job summary

The Mobile Field Service Technician position in Ellendale, ND, is with The Ag Division of Brandt Holdings and serves a designated territory. The role requires diagnosing and repairing customer equipment in the field, using advanced diagnostic and precision agriculture technology, and maintaining accountability for work orders and parts inventory.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field service experience, strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, and proficiency with basic computer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Experience using tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technician’s specialty.
• Proficient with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions; Service ADVISOR or similar diagnostic tools preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on equipment and technology in the field.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of parts kept in stock on the service vehicle.
• Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities within your area of responsibility.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Document diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and ensure timely submission of information.
• Participate in Service Training programs for skills and knowledge development.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Stay current on knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
