Job summary

Standley Systems seeks a Service Technician to maintain and repair office equipment at customer sites within the assigned territory. This role reports to the Field Service Manager and involves on-site work, travel, and quick issue resolution to keep client operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer and Microsoft skills, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. A+ certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills; networking is a plus.
• A+ certification preferred; network cert desirable.
• Current valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Good driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• PC and Microsoft skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repair and maintenance of copier/fax/scanner equipment.
• Refurbish used equipment including cleaning and repair.
• Minimal setup and installation at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot non-printing issues.
• Provide courteous, timely customer support.
• Maintain parts inventory in the vehicle.
• Use diagnostic tools and schematics to assess failures.
• In-shop repair and maintenance of internal equipment.
• In-shop setup and installation for equipment and accessories.
• No supervisory responsibilities.

The Standley Systems Service Technician will provide customer service by maintaining, servicing and repairing office equipment at customer locations within their assigned territory. This position will report to the appropriate Field Service Manager for the assigned location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-site repair and maintenance of copier/fax/scanner equipment
• Refurbish used equipment, which includes cleaning and repairing
• Minimal setup and installation at the customer's location
• Troubleshoot non-printing issues
• Provide outstanding support by meeting customer's needs in a courteous and timely manner
• On-site maintenance and repair of copier and multi-functional products in an efficient and cost-effective manner
• Maintain and expand current technical knowledge by attending training classes and meetings
• Maintain proper parts inventory in vehicle
• Use diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics to assess and resolve equipment and system failures
• In shop repair and maintenance of internal equipment
• In shop setup and installation for equipment and accessories
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

• Basic computer skills are required with networking skills a plus.

• Network certification and or training desirable
• Current valid driver’s license & proof of insurance
• Good driving record
• HS Diploma

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screen. Standley Systems has federal contracts that require compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, therefore medical marijuana license-holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for the position.
