Job summary

Otovo is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician in Yuma, AZ to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage, and generators. The role requires hands-on electrical work, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer service as you support the transition to clean energy.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, commissioning upgrades, and coordinating with customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of NEC, AHJ, and utility interconnection requirements.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and work overtime as needed.

• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades with NEC, AHJ, and utility compliance.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty-related repairs as needed.
• Communicate system status and repair recommendations to homeowners and customers.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.

Otovo is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you'll service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators.

This position is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving complex problems, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the transition to clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments
