Job Summary

The Field Service Technician (NETA 1) assists technicians with basic measurements, test equipment setup and removal, basic acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and cleaning, while ensuring personal safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities
Test Equipment
  • Assist in setting up and removing test equipment for testing activities.
  • Handle and store equipment properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of test equipment.
  • Keep tools and equipment in good condition.
Basic Measurements
  • Perform basic electrical measurements under supervision.
  • Accurately record and report data.

Support organizational goals and adapt to evolving needs as required.

Attributes/Abilities
  • Background/MVR check satisfactory.
  • Pass pre-employment, post-accident, suspicion, and random drug tests.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Basic electrical theory understanding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and pay attention to detail.
Experience and Education
  • High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Additional certifications like OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid, etc., are a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel up to 50%.
  • Work occasional overtime.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Wear PPE including arc-flash suit, safety glasses, etc.
  • Work in various conditions including confined spaces, dirt, heat, fumes, etc.
