Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join our team in Dorchester, MA and surrounding area. You will travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and other material handling equipment.

A company-issued service vehicle is provided. The role offers extensive on-the-job training, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Able to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Experience with batteries, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems is a plus.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform field service.

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges with customers.

What You’ll Do

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repairRaymond battery-powered lift trucksalong with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability todiagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipmentwith a focus onquality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanorandbuild positive customer relationshipsby consistently deliveringexcellent customer service
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
