Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team in the Central Ohio area! This role involves performing responsibilities of a Level I installer, with additional advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities to lead installation teams. The technician will configure and program devices, oversee system commissioning, and provide customer training, ensuring high standards of installation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all Level I installation and service duties following documentation standards.
  • Manage project and service tickets efficiently, providing timely updates.
  • Understand project scopes and ensure task completion with quality results.
  • Lead and delegate tasks within the team, fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Mentor Level 1 installers, maintaining standards and seeking feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
  • Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
  • Pursue professional development, especially in leadership and communication.
  • Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) to ensure quality standards.
  • Configure systems and ensure successful commissioning.
  • Accept additional duties as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years in a construction trade.
  • Knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
  • Hands-on experience in the field.
  • Basic telecommunication and networking skills (TCP/IP, VoIP).
  • Ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Team management experience.
  • Experience with project scope and service ticketing.
  • Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid US Driver’s license.
