Field Service Technician Level II Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team and serve our clients in the Central Ohio area! The Field Service Technician Level II will perform all Level I responsibilities and demonstrate advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities to lead installation teams effectively. This role involves configuring and programming a wide range of devices, overseeing system commissioning, and providing customer training on basic operations. It is essential for ensuring smooth installation execution and high customer satisfaction.

Field Service Technician Level II Responsibilities:

  • Perform all Level I installer duties following our documentation to ensure high standards of installation and service.
  • Manage project and service tickets efficiently, ensuring prompt updates and streamlined interactions.
  • Understand project scopes and service expectations, taking full accountability for assigned tasks and delivering excellent results.
  • Lead and delegate tasks within the team, fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Mentor Level 1 installers, maintaining high standards and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain effective communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Work with nurse call systems, card access systems, and video surveillance products to contribute to successful project implementation.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, focusing on leadership and communication skills.
  • Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation to ensure quality standards.
  • Configure and commission systems to provide reliable solutions for clients.
  • Willingly accept additional duties as assigned to support business operations.

Field Service Technician Level II Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction trade.
  • Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
  • Hands-on experience from previous work.
  • Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP).
  • Ability to identify and use low voltage cabling.
  • Knowledge of IT networking, configurations, and IP addressing.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Experience managing or supervising teams.
  • Experience completing projects within scope.
  • Experience with service ticketing processes.
  • Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, and nurse call systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid US Driver’s license required.
