Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Road Mechanic. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Qualifications for Success:

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, Oil & Gas) preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (CDL may be required in some locations)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possibly need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish or others) may be required based on location

The physical demands include bending, squatting, reaching, lifting 50+ pounds, and working indoors/outdoors. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to comply with laws. Compensation: Base pay range: $25.94 - $35.66. Starting pay may vary based on factors including location, experience, and education.
