Job Description

Performs maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

• Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
• Performs most Call Outs (CO) without assistance from a technical expert. Diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
• Performs Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB/DEMOB as part of a team.
• Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

Non-Essential Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned.

All employees shall be in compliance with the Archrock Health Safety and Environmental Policy and local, statutory and/or regulatory requirements at all times.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to perform all essential duties.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
• Track record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) independently.
• Experience with Major Maintenance, Overhauls, and MOB/DEMOB as part of a team.
• Ability to handle Call Outs independently.
• Customer service skills.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Intermediate computer skills, including engine-specific software (Cat, Waukesha), Internet Explorer, Outlook.
• Timely and accurate documentation submission.
• Availability for after-hours on-call requests.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of gas engines, compressors, electrical systems, control systems, and related equipment.
• Understanding of new technologies and troubleshooting telematics.
• Knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations.
• General understanding of production equipment and compressor operation.
• Familiarity with maintenance standards checklists.

Minimum Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Gas or diesel engine and compressor training preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience with natural gas engines and compressors.

Leadership:

• May mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Assist in training or mentoring other Field Service Technicians.

Physical Demands:

• Must be fit for duty and meet PPE medical requirements.
• Manual dexterity and reach with hands and arms.
• Talking and hearing frequently required.
• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and physical lifting.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and extensive travel.

• Identify and resolve problems regularly.
• Implement solutions and improve processes.
