SurfacePrep Group is seeking a Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial finishing equipment across the Northeast. This on-site, customer-facing role suits someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys hands-on work and independent problem-solving.

You will install booths, ovens, ducts, and pumps, perform preventive maintenance, and work directly with customers to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in field service, installation, or maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts.
• Experience with pumps, ventilation systems, or airflow applications is a plus.
• Electrical or controls experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Install industrial finishing equipment (booths, ovens, ducting) and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, airflow, and pump-related issues on-site.
• Document service reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation and professional on-site presence.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support installations and service needs.
