Job summary

Separators, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Field Service Technician to support industrial centrifuge equipment at customer facilities, primarily in the dairy and food processing industries. This is a hands-on, mechanical, customer-facing role with extensive travel and strong growth opportunities.

No centrifuge experience required. Technicians with strong mechanical aptitude and transferable field or industrial skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (reports, email, documentation).
• Ability to travel up to ~75%.
• Availability for scheduled weekend and after-hours rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial centrifuges
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues
• Provide onsite technical support and customer training
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to customer and company standards
• Communicate job status, parts needs, and recommendations to customers
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation
• Follow up with customers after service to confirm proper operation
• Participate in rotating after-hours and weekend service support
• Travel to customer sites across the Midwest
