Job Description

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Naperville, IL area. Equipment commonly worked on includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used in conjunction with deep fryers. This position utilizes a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours a week. Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are provided.

Starting Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour.

Technicians' Typical Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and complete service calls and scheduled preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Provide customer service by performing on-location preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and listen to machines to locate malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
• Organize repairs and preventive maintenance by scheduling in similar locations; record keeping of work orders, parts, supplies, and daily activities.
• Complete all required paperwork including work orders, timecards, parts orders, and reports. Handle company equipment responsibly and follow guidelines for vehicle use.

Additional Information:

• Travel up to 300 miles per day on average.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Income based on hourly pay; includes commute time adjustments.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Work primarily Monday-Friday; weekends and after-hours work possible with emergency rates; on-call until 11 am EST weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to safety procedures, report hazards, and use equipment properly.
• Dependability with excellent attendance; respond promptly to service requests; maintain valid driver’s license and safe driving skills.
