Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Field Service Technician to install, test, and repair equipment across West Texas, including Odessa. You will handle customer inquiries, provide sales support, and complete service documentation on time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair equipment and tools for customers.
• Handle customer comments, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Provide sales support and keep customers informed on all job aspects.
• Complete Field Service Orders and other revenue-related docs on time.
• Report quality issues and equipment/Procedural defects to Service Mgmt.
• Document field activities and project issues to minimize downtime.
• Prepare safety-related docs and pursue safe work practices.
• Mentor or train less experienced technicians and customers when needed.
• Travel frequently to customer sites across West Texas, with overnight stays as required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair new and reworked TechnipFMC products, including equipment and tools
• Handle customer comments, requests, and complaints
• Provide sales support and ensure customers are informed about all aspects of the job
• Complete Field Service Orders (FSO), Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT), and other revenue-generating documentation on time
• Communicate quality issues and equipment or procedural defects to Service Management
• Complete field documentation after each service job
• Provide project support and handle project issues to eliminate downtime
• Prepare and complete safety-related documentation
• Pursue safe work practices
• Mentor or instruct less experienced team members and customers in and out of the field
• Travel frequently to customer locations across West Texas, including overnight stays as operationally required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in field service technician role
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of: electrical; surface equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Able to perform moderate complex calculations
• Ability to use and understand technical tools and instruments and perform basic troubleshooting
• Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures
• Experience working in oil and gas completion operations and customer locations
• Knowledge of pressure control equipment, frac operations, and wellsite safety practices
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Understanding of maintenance management systems and equipment documentation requirements
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting systems
• Experience with service quality, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis processes
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading less experienced technicians
• Knowledge of company HSE standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
