Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician III to support outage assignments and field service at nuclear power plants worldwide. The role will be based at the Waltz Mill Site in Madison, PA, with onsite expectation when not traveling.

Responsibilities include qualification management for reactor coolant pump/motor/seal operations, disassembly/repair of components, equipment setup and troubleshooting, and potential supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Associates degree or technical/maintenance program certificate (or higher) preferred.
• Minimum six years of related experience.
• Experience with reactor coolant pump/motor/seal operations and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related qualifications to support outage assignments.
• Disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related components.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related field service equipment.
• Serve as a component and tooling technical advisor.
• Document and manage equipment issues, anomalies, lessons learned, good practices, process improvements, ideas for consideration, etc. through resolution.
• Perform service center operations including equipment maintenance, decontamination, pre and post-shipment activities, material handling, and calibration services.
• Assist with the creation, review, and/or revision of operational and maintenance procedures and drawings.
• Supervise and perform all assigned tasks with minimal oversight, no safety issues, a high degree of quality, good housekeeping practices, and following approved policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Oversee assigned projects and small teams with predetermined goals—assume supervisor responsibilities.
• Develop, exercise, and promote team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers, and other departments.
• Lead and contribute to technical training program development and instruction, as applicable.
• Participate in hands-on and computer-based training, as assigned.
• Participate in cross-training and cross-utilization

About the role:

As a Field Service Technician III you will provide service center operations at the Waltz Mill Site, and field services at nuclear power plants throughout the world for the Rotating Equipment Services group. You will use high technology service equipment and manual tools in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality.

You will report to the Rotating Equipment Resource Manager and be located at our Waltz Mill Facility in Madison, PA. You are expected onsite when not on travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related qualifications to support outage assignments

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $61,660.74 to $94,125.89 per year.
