POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Technician responds as necessary to provide major maintenance and repairs on natural gas compression rental fleet equipment within the assigned region. This position partners with manufacturing and field service teams to satisfy customer needs by addressing mechanical and electrical issues during installations, maintenance cycles, and repairs as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by supervisory personnel.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of natural gas compressor system failures.
3. Optimize compression equipment performance.
4. Stay abreast of advanced natural gas compressor and engine theory and maintenance.
5. Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures.
6. Comply with all other company policies and procedures.
7. Complete appropriate paperwork as directed.
8. Perform duties as trainer when required.
9. Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills.
10. Demonstrate and further develop leadership skills.
11. Present a professional image.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of field service technician experience.

· General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

· Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector.

· High school diploma (or GED equivalent).
