Alma Lasers, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician II for the East Coast US. This remote role focuses on servicing Alma Lasers equipment nationwide with primary attention to East Coast customers.

The position requires heavy travel, up to 75-90%, and provides Level 2 technical support by phone as needed. The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree in electrical/electronic repair and has 4+ years of field service experience, with preferred knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and experience

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of Field Service experience.
• Experience with component level repair preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.
• Repair equipment after diagnosis and perform calibrations as needed.
• Read diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps.
• Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality and document repairs.
• Provide Level 2 support via phone to customers and internal staff.
• Maintain repair documentation and service records.
• Travel as required to customer sites across the East Coast US.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position also utilizes hand tools and electrical meters.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
