Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd in Jacksboro, Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician I to assist senior technicians in operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities, including preventative and corrective maintenance of panels, trackers, and inverters. You will follow safety procedures, use CMMS, and participate in on-call rotations.

Must have a high school diploma and basic knowledge of electrical systems; 1+ years maintenance experience preferred; domestic travel 5-15% and a valid

Qualifications

• 1+ years related maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Electrical power systems knowledge.
• Drawings and basic circuit theory knowledge.
• OSHA regulations familiarity.
• Hand tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on on-site assets (solar panels, trackers, power inverters).
• Troubleshoot AC and DC power systems.
• Interface with project stakeholders and sub-contractors in a professional manner.
• Operate RES vehicles in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and uphold safety and quality standards.

S ummary:

The Field Service Technician I will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

Requirements :

• Takes direction from senior site personnel.
• Assists with troubleshooting of AC and DC power systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
• Uses hand tools effectively.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
• Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
• Interfaces with project subcontra ctors.
• Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.
• Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
• Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
• Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Safety:

• Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
• Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
• Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
• Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.
• Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
• Receives job- and task-speci fic training prior to work commencing.

Qualifications:

• High school/GED General Education required.
• 1+ years or more Related maintenance experience preferred .
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Electrical power systems
  • Drawings
  • Basic circuit theory
  • OSHA regulations
  • Hand tools
• Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities.
• Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
• Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.
• Domestic travel 5 -15 % required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Anticipated base salary range: $ 25.96 - $32.45

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
