Job summary

Hamilton Medical is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair and maintain ventilation products in the Maryland and Virginia territory. The ideal candidate will reside near Baltimore, MD, or Washington DC, with travel to customer sites and hospitals as required.

Responsibilities include installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and supporting sales efforts. A strong emphasis on safety and customer communication is essential, along with an Associate degree in

• Associate degree required in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or related field.
• Hospital, bio-medical, or field service experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of ventilation is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and travel.
• Position requires travel to Maryland and Virginia territory.

• Install new equipment at customer sites.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance of Hamilton Medical ventilation products in a field service capacity in support of the Maryland and Virginia territory. The ideal candidate will reside near or in Baltimore, MD or Washington DC.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• New equipment installation.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment.
• Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures.
• Sales are a vital part of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interface and communicate well with customers.
• Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material.
• Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner.

Education/Experience

• Associate degree required in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or certificate from accredited electronics school or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Previous hospital, bio-medical, or field service experience and basic understanding of ventilation is preferred.
• Basic understanding of ventilation is strongly preferred.
• Position requires exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
• Position requires travel.
