Job summary

ChampionX in Odessa, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician I to perform ESP installations, diagnose surface issues, and support field operations. You will travel to sites, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with customers and teammates to ensure reliable service.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, a valid MVR, and fluency in English, with overtime as needed and potential for growth within a global technology environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Acceptable driving record with MVR check.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and related equipment.
• Diagnose and implement solutions for surface problems, including electrical issues and gas-locked pumps.
• Safely operate vehicles to and from sites and load/unload tools.
• Maintain mechanical performance of trucks used for field transportation.
• Adapt to changing assignments and work overtime as needed.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams on site.
• Train and mentor new hires and lower-level technicians at the well site.
• Assist higher level technicians with on-site installations, check-out, and emergency repairs.
