Job summary

NOV is seeking a technician to complete repair orders, keep the shop clean, attend safety meetings, and perform duties with minimal supervision. You will understand engines, electrical systems, and generator equipment, diagnose malfunctions, assist inspections, and ensure on-site equipment is serviced properly.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to travel to customer sites, and reliable transportation with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for troubleshooting programs.
• Good communication to provide customer service and meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane; move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand theory, principles and repairs related to engines, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems for repair of power generation equipment.
• Learn the mechanical condition of generators and diagnose component malfunctions.
• Perform service actions based on trainer and supervisor guidance; assist inspections and servicing of equipment.
• Clean equipment after completion of service or repairs.
• Learn to use technical manuals, wiring schematics, and test equipment.
