Job description

This position requires daily travel within the Cincinnati Metro area, including the airport.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
  • Meet daily service repair needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field; provide customer training as needed.
  • Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs; submit paperwork promptly.
  • Order, install, and return parts; manage repair parts cycle time.
  • Review logs for open issues; prepare reports for customers.
  • Participate in service sales opportunities and promote revenue programs.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment; ensure calibration.
  • Assess product performance; recommend modifications or improvements.
  • Provide technical support to customers and service professionals.
  • Participate in site surveys, pilot programs, and meetings.
  • Possess basic technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
  • Maintain clear business communication, both oral and written.
  • Build relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay updated on technical trends.
  • Control and minimize costs.
  • Travel, work overtime, and work hours outside Monday-Friday as required.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Follow U.S. export control and security regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Training: Associate’s Degree, related trade certification, military training, or equivalent experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields. Computer literacy and aptitude for learning specialized software.

Experience: 1-3 years in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication, customer focus, teamwork, responsiveness, and willingness to travel on short notice.

Supervision: May supervise others on a project basis, though not a primary responsibility.

Background: Requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and TSA vetting; must pass a federal background check.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask.
  • Excellent customer service and stress management skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Ability to lift/carry 80 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, and move equipment up to 1000 lbs with assistance.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and working in various positions.
  • Work safely in extreme environments around industrial equipment.
Work Environment

Typically at customer sites such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, or other locations.

May require SSI access, TSA vetting, and U.S. security clearance.
