What You’ll Do:

The successful candidate will reside in Washington or Oregon; no relocation assistance is provided.

As a Field Service Technician, you will install, assemble, service, and repair Aerzen products, providing prompt and professional service at our location or customer sites. Overnight travel may be required.

  • Perform startups, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Aerzen products; follow safety standards.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control and measurement instrumentation; understand control narratives and troubleshoot process issues.
  • Address communication issues, including TCP/IP and RS-485 networks.
  • Disassemble, assess damage, diagnose problems, and utilize procedures and rebuild kits for repairs.
  • Use diagrams, drawings, and documentation to perform service tasks.
  • Communicate with customers about job requirements, provide recommendations, and update on service status.
  • Evaluate future customer needs and communicate accordingly.
  • Assist in plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis.
  • Plan travel efficiently using the Concur booking tool.
  • Complete service and expense reports, collect data, and create commissioning graphs.
  • Document repairs, causes of failures, and work performed.
  • Conduct onsite customer training on Aerzen products.
  • Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives like inventory counts and shop organization.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

Education: Associate's Degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1-4 years in field service with rotary equipment; electrical experience with VFDs and controls preferred.

Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, SalesForce, TCP/IP, RS-485; Allen Bradley PLC experience; ability to interpret diagrams; welding skills a plus.
