Job summary

Andritz is seeking a Service Mechanic for the repair and service of High Speed Separators and Decanters. The role is primarily shop-based with travel to customer sites, about 10% of the time.

You will disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and rebuild equipment, read engineering drawings, and use precision measuring tools to ensure proper function. Some field work in the Western US is required.

Qualifications

• Formal education - High School graduate or above
• Certification as a skilled technician in a highly technical field
• Experience with vibrations analysis, alignment and balancing equipment
• Ability to disassemble and rebuild separation equipment and test before restart
• Ability to work alone in the field after training

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect machines to determine required repair scope
• Disassembly and inspection of separators and decanters
• Perform diagnostic tests such as vibration analysis and oil quality evaluation
• Read and understand engineering drawings
• Use precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspection and TI R checks
• Balance rotating assemblies
• Perform complete mechanical repairs on separators and decanters from disassembly to reassembly
• Travel to customer sites across the western US for removal, installation, and field repairs
• Coordinate with service manager and/or service sales engineer on projects
