Rudd Equipment Company, Inc. seeks motivated Service Technicians to diagnose issues and perform repairs on heavy equipment in shop and field settings, adhering to safety regulations and company values.

The role covers hydraulic, electrical, drive-train, and pneumatic systems with travel required. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills, ability to read schematics, and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• Experience with Volvo construction equipment a plus; paving equipment a plus.
• Must possess and maintain acceptable safe driving record.
• DOT Medical Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on Heavy Equipment; source and order parts as needed.
• Perform repair of mobile equipment in a field environment without supervision.
• Perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts and structures as needed.
• Repair and/or replace components of engine hydraulic systems, A/C, suspension, drive trains, electrical, steering, braking, and material handling systems.
• Must be willing to travel and work remotely including overnight stays.
• Must comply with DOT requirements and safety procedures.
• Must be decisive and support company goals and priorities.
