Job Title: Field Services Technician I

Location: Clean Harbors, Omaha, NE

Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Field Services Technician I to join our safety-focused team. This role involves performing tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials in the field.

Note: New hires must attend a two-week paid training at our out-of-state academy. Expenses are covered by the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and acting safely at all times.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and industrial tools.
  • Use and wear appropriate PPE, including respirators and protective gear.
  • Work in various weather conditions and temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
  • Handle potentially hazardous chemical and physical agents.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in elevated positions using ladders and scaffolding.
  • Assist with field sampling and calibration of meters.
  • Climb ladders, scaffolding, and into/out of trucks and tanks.
  • Work extended hours (>8 hours) as necessary.
  • Attend safety and compliance meetings.
  • Inspect drums for integrity and compliance.
  • Load and unload waste safely.
  • Conduct waste sampling and profiling.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT and other requirements.
  • Adhere to all company safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
  • Participate in site remediation, decontamination, and hazardous material handling.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergencies, including working weekends and holidays.
  • Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam if required.
  • Compliance with OSHA's respirator standards regarding facial hair.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous relevant labor or field experience.
