Job summary

Zeeco Field Services in Houston is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Gulf Region. The role is based in Houston with extensive field time, focusing on installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and inspections of Zeeco equipment.

Moderate travel is required, with reporting into the Houston facility for paperwork when not in the field. The ideal candidate has a mechanical aptitude, experience with combustion equipment, and familiarity with BMS, LCP, MOV, and VFD systems.

Qualifications

• College degree in engineering or related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with combustion equipment including flares, burners, and thermal oxidizers.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemicals, or related industries.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (12-24 VDC, 120-480 VAC).

Responsibilities

• Supervision / consultation for field installation of Zeeco equipment.
• Field start-up, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, or inspection of Zeeco equipment.
• Problem solves in the field with little to no supervision (after completion of training).
• Communicates both professionally and effectively with personnel ranging from plant managers to skilled labor.
• Reads and understands documentation and drawings.
• Completes written or electronic reports or other basic documentation as required.
• Completes all safety requirements and qualification required to visitsites.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned that are appropriate based on skillsand experience.

Job Description

The field service engineer position will be based out of Zeeco’s Houston office but will spend a majority of time in the field. The position will require knowledge of all Zeeco products, with a focus on installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, or inspections of this equipment. Moderate travel will be required. When not in the field, this position will report to the Zeeco Houston facility to complete paperwork or prepare for the next project.
