Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP in Oklahoma is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and startups on natural gas compression equipment across a defined territory in the region. You will work independently in remote field environments to maintain uptime and support midstream partners.

The role requires strong safety practices, practical mechanical/electrical knowledge, and clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong customer communication and ability to interface with field personnel and vendors.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service bulletins.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote environments and heavy weather.
• Excellent safety awareness and adherence to procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
• Complete startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
• Submit accurate maintenance and timesheet reports daily.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to support equipment needs.
