Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP seeks a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair of natural gas compression equipment in assigned territories. You will operate safely, troubleshoot issues, and support field operations to ensure equipment uptime.

The role requires the ability to work independently in remote outdoor environments, travel within the territory, and participate in rotating on-call schedules. A high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, service bulletins, and operating information.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote field environments.
• Must provide required small hand tools as per company expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment, including engines, compressors, coolers, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
• Submit accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets and other paperwork daily.
• Serve as the primary field contact for customers and coordinate with internal teams.
