Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of relevant industry experience (Level C) or 2-4 years (Level B) or 4+ years (Level A).
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with engines, rotating equipment, or natural gas compression.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment, including engines, compressors, coolers, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and operating conditions; identify and escalate abnormal trends.
• Respond to call-outs and emergency situations to restore equipment functionality.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with USA Compression standards, OEM specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily.
