Job summary

Paycom seeks a Field Service Technician to develop and maintain profitable relationships with natural gas producing customers in the defined territory. The role focuses on installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting compressor packages while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The technician will inspect engines, compressors, and control systems, perform preventive maintenance, report data, and identify opportunities for service and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months–2 years of experience in maintaining natural gas compression equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes cost effective and safe customer runtime reliability.
• Installs, commissions, maintains, services, troubleshoots, and decommissions compressor packages in the territory.
• Ensures compressor package environmental regulation compliance.
• Reports on new business opportunities with customers and on field staffing needs.
• Performs preventive maintenance and service on high pressure gas lift skid mounted compressors.
• Inspects equipment and control systems to identify potential problems.
• Maintains safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Orders and manages inventory of parts to ensure timely response.
