Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service compression equipment at customer sites across multiple locations in Texas. The role emphasizes safety, autonomy, and customer relations, with frequent on-site work and coordination with the Area Service Manager.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in gas compression, relevant certifications, and the ability to work extended hours including on-call weekends.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification or related field experience.
• 3–5 years of gas compression experience; CAT/Ariel/Cummins certifications preferred.
• Ability to self-manage and work independently.
• High mechanical aptitude; ability to read technical manuals.
• Valid driver''s license with acceptable MVR.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on-call weekends.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service of USA Compression equipment.
• Minimize downtime on all assigned equipment.
• Follow safety policies and company handbook.
• Gather data for reports and meet deadlines.
• Respond promptly to ASM or customer inquiries.
• Assist in installation of treating units at customer sites.
• Coordinate with Lead Service Tech and ASM during major repairs.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle per guidelines.
• Assist sales team to identify new opportunities.
• Ensure parts inventory adequacy for units.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
