The Role: Regional Field Service Excellence

This 85% travel position involves ensuring critical equipment remains operational at customer facilities across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and surrounding states. You'll be the technical expert customers rely on when production lines go down.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair sophisticated food processing machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Read electrical schematics and European technical drawings
  • Provide on-site customer training and support
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with German engineering teams
  • Document service activities and maintain detailed reports
  • Build relationships with key food manufacturing accounts

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years mechanical/electrical repair experience in industrial environments
  • Proficiency reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting 480V/220V systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
  • Food manufacturing background (GMP/FDA knowledge a plus)
  • Personal vehicle under 10 years old with fewer than 200,000 miles
  • Comfortable with 85% travel including overnight stays and weekends
  • Strong customer service skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with European food processing equipment (e.g., Multivac, Weber)
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
  • Military or formal technical training
  • Cold storage environment experience (-13°F to -30°F)

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Pay:

  • $30-35/hour (flexible)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours/week pay
  • Overtime after 8 hours at 1.5x rate

Travel Benefits:

  • $8,060 annual auto stipend
  • Fuel costs covered
  • $3,500 annual vehicle maintenance allowance
  • $3,000 lifetime tire allowance
