Job summary

Reef Tectonics in Sacramento, CA is hiring a Field Service Technician on a per workorder basis. Base wage is $15.00/hour plus revenue sharing on every ticket completed, with expectations averaging about $25/hour and higher for excellent performers.

You will manage your own route and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. The role includes bi-weekly site surveys and handyman tasks (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, tiles) on commercial sites, with a reliable vehicle and basic tools

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and repair skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• Reliability and self-direction; manage your schedule within work-order windows.
• Smartphone with data plan and ability to use work-order apps.
• Preferred: aquarium hobby, facilities/maintenance background, HVAC/plumbing/electrical license; EPA card is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform bi-weekly site surveys of a key client in the region.
• Handle general facilities/handyman tasks: HVAC filters, basic repairs, plumbing, drains, lighting, tiles, door hardware.
• Perform reactive repairs, retrofits, etc. of Commercial Aquatic Systems.
• Manage your own route around assigned work orders and keep records.
• Take your turn on the after-hours emergency rotation - nights, weekends, and holidays.
