The Senior Field Service Technician (FST) is a field-based position working independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our chemical dispensing equipment and other equipment used in commercial foodservice or laundry operations. The goal is to deliver exceptional service to promote customer retention and satisfaction, not sales.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills through provided training. Basic understanding of electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems with troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis is preferred. Moderate knowledge of tools, data, and service needs is required. Proficiency with laptop and cell phone technology, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel, is necessary.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Essential Job Functions

• Work schedule is a 5-day work week / 8 hours per day, which may include 12-hour shifts, occasional weekends, and night shifts.
• Lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Climb vertical ladders and stairs.
• Stand, sit, walk, and perform physical activities such as twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching for equipment installation and maintenance on various surfaces.
• Operate a computer keyboard and phone for data input and communication.
• Work in extreme temperatures, dust, and dirt, generally in warehouse conditions.
• Recognize and respond to visual and audible signals for equipment alarms, evacuation, and fire safety.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle, spending approximately 30% of the time traveling between accounts in city, rural, and highway conditions.

• Candidate must reside in the specified city.
• On-call coverage may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
